Dividends from Index Funds ?

    As an owner of an Index Fund - do I still get dividends from the funds within the Index, as though I owned the funds stand-alone???

    Eagle,

    Yes, you get dividends. As in a mutual fund, dividends received are added to NAV and then distributed as what they are, dividends that show up on your 1099s at year end.
