Scott,
You've convinced me about the wisdom and utility of ladders. I anticipate that when I retire (currently 63), my IRA may be worth between 1.0m and 1.5m. I'd like to build a ladder of treasuries with half and keep the other half in stocks
The Treasury department says folks can't have an IRA account with them; what is a practical and low cost way to build an IRA ladder of T bills and notes? I was, and am, hoping to avoid the expense of buying original issue through a broker.
Thanks for all you do.
